CCTV drain surveys

A camera survey shows exactly what is happening inside your drains, so you only pay for the work that fixes the problem.

Round drain cover set in tarmac

We feed a waterproof camera through your drains to inspect them from the inside. You get our findings and recommendations, so you know what condition the drains are in and what, if anything, needs doing.

Drainage

When a drain survey makes sense

  • Buying a property, especially an older home or one with large trees nearby
  • Recurring blockages that keep coming back after they are cleared
  • Rats that keep returning, which often means a broken or disused drain
  • Insurance claims for damaged drains
  • Building work near or over existing drains
  • Bad smells or damp with no obvious cause
What we do

What a survey can find

  • Cracks, fractures and collapsed sections
  • Displaced or open joints
  • Tree root ingress
  • Fat and scale build-up
  • Pipes that have sunk or bellied, holding water
  • Disused or uncapped drains that rats can use

Rat investigations

As pest controllers, we know what to look for. If rats keep coming back to a property, we survey the drains to find the defect they are using, and can repair it with no-dig lining so they cannot get in. More about rats and drains.

Building over a drain?

If you are planning an extension over or close to a public sewer, you will usually need agreement from the water company first. A survey shows exactly where the drains run before work starts.
