Peterborough is the biggest place we cover, and the mix of work reflects it. The city has rows of older terraced houses, a large rented sector, a busy city centre with plenty of food businesses, and newer estates in the townships such as Hampton. Each of those brings its own pest problems.
Pest problems around Peterborough
The River Nene, the city's parks and the older drain runs under its terraced streets give rats plenty of cover, and rats often get into older terraces through defective drains. Houses in multiple occupation and other busy rented homes can be affected by bed bugs, which arrive in luggage and second-hand furniture. In the city centre, feral pigeons roost on ledges and rooftops, and their fouling builds up on commercial buildings if it is left unchecked.

Pigeon guano clean-up and proofing at a Peterborough hotel
A large build-up of pigeon fouling at a hotel needed cleaning, decontaminating and proofing so it would not return. We produced full risk assessments, method statements and a scope of works, then managed the project, working with specialist contractors.
Other services in Peterborough
For Peterborough's food businesses, hotels and landlords we run routine pest control contracts with written reports. Where rats keep coming back, our drainage team can unblock and CCTV survey the drains and reline damaged pipes without digging. We also handle house clearances and empty and probate properties across the city.
