What affects the price
- The pest. A single wasp nest is quicker to deal with than a bed bug infestation, which usually needs two visits.
- How established it is. A few mice caught early take less work than an infestation that has spread through a building.
- The property. Its size, its type and whether it is a home, a business or a listed building all make a difference.
- Access. Nests in chimneys, high gables or roof voids may need extra equipment or time to reach safely.
- Proofing and repairs. Blocking entry points or repairing drains costs more up front, but stops you paying for the same problem again.
- Number of visits. Some pests need follow-up visits to finish the job properly.
How we quote
Many jobs can be priced over the phone or from a photo, so tell us what you are seeing or send us a photo on WhatsApp (opens in a new tab). Others need us to visit and investigate first, for example recurring rats, drain problems or bird proofing on a large building.
We always tell you the price before we start. If a survey visit or written report is chargeable, we will tell you the cost when you book, before we come out.
Pest control contracts
For businesses and homeowners who want ongoing cover, contracts are priced on the size of the site and the number of visits a year. They include extra treatments for covered pests between visits and no call-out fees. See pest control contracts.
Drainage, clearances and property work
Drain repairs, house and garden clearances and maintenance work are priced by quote, usually after a visit or a look at some photos. For drains, a CCTV survey shows exactly what is needed, so you only pay for the work that fixes the problem.
Getting the best value
- The cheapest quote is not always the cheapest outcome. Ask whether the price includes finding and fixing how pests are getting in.
- Check the company is a member of the BPCA and that its technicians are trained and insured.
- Ask what happens if the pests come back. With us, if you are not satisfied within three months, we come back and treat again free of charge.
