Gutters fill up with moss, leaves, silt and bird nesting material. When they block, water spills over the edge and down the walls, causing damp patches inside, stained brickwork and rotten fascias. Cleaning them once or twice a year is one of the cheapest ways to protect a building.

How we clean gutters
- Gutter vacuum from the ground. Long carbon poles let us vacuum out gutters up to three storeys high without ladders on your walls.
- Access platform. For tall or awkward buildings, our van-mounted access platform gets us up close to clear, check and repair.
- Downpipes checked. We check the downpipes are flowing and clear any blockages, so the water can get away.
- Waste taken away. Everything we take out of the gutters is bagged and removed. We are a licensed waste carrier.
Signs your gutters need cleaning
- Water spilling over the gutter edge when it rains
- Plants or moss growing out of the gutter
- Damp patches on inside walls or ceilings
- Green or stained brickwork below the gutter
- Gutters sagging or pulling away
- Birds nesting along the gutter line
Gutters and pests
Blocked gutters hold standing water and nesting material, which attracts pigeons, gulls and insects. Gaps behind fascias and soffits are also a common way in for squirrels, birds and bees. Because we are pest controllers too, we look for these while we are up there, and can deal with birds or bees on the same visit.
Small repairs while we are there
If we find leaking joints, loose brackets or a section that has dropped, we will tell you and can usually put it right. Larger repairs are handled by our maintenance team.
